IPO is also known as the sport of Schutzhund
The sport of IPO has been around for many years. Originally derived as a breed suitability test for the German Shepherd dog, now a point system has been created and the sport is open to any dog and handler able to compete in all three phases after completing a temperament test. The three phases of competition are tracking, obedience and protection.
This sport requires extreme dedication by the handler to both their K9 and the sport.
Training with Marty Segretto at Definitive K9 in the sport of IPO means training with one of the top competitors in the Nation! Private Lessons are available for IPO Training. These lessons will be several hours each. A single to all three phases of the sport of IPO will be covered during each lesson depending on the handler, dog and experience level. There is an expectation that any team working with Marty will title their dog in the sport of IPO.
